“Without forgiveness there is no future.” – Desmond Tutu
The God who knows all can forgive and forget your sins and my sins.
We can all agree that forgiveness is of the Lord. But where the difficulty lies is where it has to go to other people.
Forgiveness of others is a choice, not a feeling. God never says “forgive them when you feel like it”.
I’m sure you’ve heard others say “they don’t deserve to be forgiven!”. Of course they don’t. No one deserves to be forgiven but God chose to forgive us anyway… If a person could earn forgiveness, you wouldn’t need it in the first place.
“What does it mean to believe in Jesus?… Our behaviour determines our belief. I can say I believe there’s a God in Heaven but unless we put it into action, it’s just words. If you’re really a true believer it’s going to change your life.”
“Following Jesus means to accept the gift of grace. But it’s one thing to believe it, another thing to act it out.”
“God has forgiven us and by accepting God’s grace, we forgive ourselves.”
